Coffee has lost its "kick".....

I have never been a caffeine addict. I have never really drank coffee or cokes often. But usually, the times I do drink coffee, it gives me the energy I need. Well not anymore. Coffee is dead to me! It does absolutely nothing for me except give me horrible breath. And this is the week I need it the most. Finishing up this last minute wedding stuff is tiring. ;)

Last weekend I had a crazy good time at my bachelorette parties. Friday evening Allison went all out and put together an awesome party for me. She had the hotel room set up with snacks, fun bachelorette stuff, and booze of course! :) We spent the evening dancing and laughing around Bricktown. Then Saturday evening my friend Dianna threw me a low key bachelorette party at her house in Edmond. We had some wine, ate snacks and chatted the evening away. Eventually Dianna and I made it halfway through the movie "Couple's Retreat" before falling asleep. It was a crazy fun weekend and I am thankful for all the girls that made it special! I am very lucky.

Things have been super crazy at work of course. Lots of changes going on and lots of last minute tasks I need to complete before next week. Tonight I get to do my trial for my hair and finish up the reception slideshow. I realized I have WAY too many pictures to choose from and we can only have 60 on the DVD (we are doing this through CVS). Decisions, decisions.

I am emailing the DJ our song info today and hopefully getting in contact with the pianist to settle the ceremony music. Not to mention I still have to finish my vows. ;) I just have a little bit left to write and then emailing them to the minister. Ryan had his finished a few days ago. :)

In a few days all of our families will be in town ready to celebrate. I am getting a bit overwhelmed, hoping that everything goes okay and that we are both able to spend time with our families as much as we can this weekend before the wedding. Ryan still has family to meet on my side and I still have family to meet on his side!

Well, I guess that is it for my early morning blog. Cheers everyone!

9 more days.......

And so the countdown begins! (okay, okay, I have been counting down since about 3 weeks ago, hehe)

What do we have left to do? Hair run through, pick up alcohol, mani/pedi, finish up parents' gifts, finish up Ryan's gift, pack for honeymoon, marriage license next Friday, etc.

I have had such a pleasant day today. Some of my coworkers gave me a bridal shower this afternoon. Ruth, our move-in coordinator, put it together and decorated. Several of my coworkers came by for some punch and DELICIOUS cake. I am not really a cake person, but MAN. It was strawberries and bavarian cream.... WOW. I had to take an extra piece back to my office with me!! It was so sweet of my coworkers to do this for me. I have known some of them for many years, and some just a few years but they really do mean a lot to me and I am so happy they could all be there. Hope they are ready for a fun time at the wedding! :)

Things have been extremely stressful lately. So much going on at work and with the wedding. It has definitely taken a toll on me and poor Ryan and to deal with it as well. Let's just say perky Amanda hasn't been so lively lately. Cranky is more like it. The last few days I have been able to relax and calm down a bit so that's good. And tonight is my bachelorette party in Bricktown! I cannot WAIT! Allison, my amazing soon to be sis-in-law put together this fabulous night. We will be going to Bricktown and staying at the Sheraton hotel. Not sure the exact plans but I think it involves a dueling piano bar and some dancing later!

Then tomorrow evening another group of my friends are throwing me another bachelorette party! However, they knew I would be exhausted from tonight's events so it will be more low key over at Dianna's house. :) I am excited because it has been awhile since all of us girls have been together. It is going to be SO much fun! I will be sure to rest up tomorrow during the day so I can go for round 2 that night!

Here are just a few pics from the last month:

Meet the Wedding Party!

I think it is about time I make a post dedicated to my small, but fabulous wedding party!

My Maid of Honor is Allison Kamermayer. She is Ryan's younger sister and will soon be my sis as well! I really got to know Allison last year when a group of us took a trip to St. Kitts. Her and I hit it off right away and had such a great time. For a long time now I have thought of Allison as my sister. She is smart, kind, and gorgeous inside and out. Ryan is very proud of Allison for the woman she has become and he is excited to have her involved in our special day. I am so proud to have her standing up beside me when I marry her brother.

Ryan's Best Man is Matthew Gorsuch, my younger brother. Ryan met Matthew last year when Ryan and I first started dating. Matthew seems to really like Ryan and I am sure looks forward to getting to know him even better in the future. Matthew has always been such a great brother to me. I know he always has my back and I am so thankful for that. I am very proud of my younger brother for all of his accomplishments and the thoughtful, caring person he is.

Hope Garrett will be our flower girl. Hope is the daugther of Ryane Garrett, one of my closest friend' since the 4th grade. I am also Hope's Godmother and I really wanted her to be a part of the wedding. She is 2 1/2 years of age and has the beauty of her mother! She is excited to wear the dress that "makes her look like a princess" and I can't wait to have her be part of our special day.

Scott Oberg will be our ring bearer. Scott is 8 years old and lives in Virginia. He is Ryan's cousin and even though they live far apart, Ryan has always talked so fondly of Scott. I have not had a chance to meet Scott yet so I am very excited for the weekend of August 22nd to arrive so I can finally meet this young man and the rest of his family!

Thank you to Allison, Matthew, Hope and Scott for accepting the invitation to be part of our big day!
