SnOw DaYs

The last few weeks have been somewhat crazy in regards to our dear Mother Nature. Last week we had a crazy snowstorm that gave us nearly a foot of snow. The storm started Monday evening and the roads were bad for several days. I actually stayed at work overnight for 3 evenings in a row because of the road conditions. I am glad I stayed because we were extremely short staffed and I was able to help out in different areas, especially the Dining Room. It brought back many memories since I worked in the Dining Room from 2001-2004.

This week we had weaker snowstorm, starting on Tuesday evening and continuing til around noon on Wednesday. I only stayed overnight one evening this time around. The roads were not near as bad as last week.

Here are a few pics I took during last week's snowstorm.

A Night in Bricktown

Ryan's birthday, January 28th, was quite a special one this year. It was also his last weekend before leaving for training in Texas. I took of work a few hours early so that we could get my military ID (finally!). Then we headed towards Bricktown.

We arrived at The Skirvin around 5 p.m. and dropped our bags off at the room before heading to dinner. We ate in the restaurant at the hotel.

Ryan had a yummy filet and I had the Park Avenue Chop Salad. Ryan opened his birthday presents from me and had chocolate cake on the house.

After dinner we walked over to the Ford Center, excited for the Thunder Game. We played the Washington Wizards. I figured it would be a blowout - I was SO wrong! It was a CLOSE game the entire way through, and we ended up in double over time with the win!

Ryan's sister, Allison, joined us for the game and we met up with some of her friends at a small pub in Bricktown. We all had a wonderful time and I am so glad we got to have such a fun night together.
