Bridal Shower

On Sunday, July 18th, Lindsay Poe, Lauren Williams, and Lynette Crow threw me a beautiful bridal shower at Oak Tree Country Club. We had a private room that was elegant, along with mimosas and scrumptious food. Lauren brought a beautifully decorated cake as well. :)

So many of our friends and family came to celebrate this special moment with me. Mom and I were basketcases the entire morning and for most of the shower! We were stressing big time.... not sure why. I guess that's just our personalities. :)

I received many amazing gifts and Ryan and I are so appreciative for everyone's thoughtfulness. Here are a few pictures from this joyous occasion.

28 days to go....

I decided to update my blog while I eat my tasty lean cuisine for lunch. :)

The unpacking phase of the new apartment is still in progress. I have a few boxes of stuff that can't really be unpacking until I know how I want to decorate.

I have tried to be an organized bride but it has not been easy and I still have so much left to do:

Pick out tuxes
Buy shoes for the wedding
Dress alterations
Hair run-through
Wedding party gifts
Order engagement pic for wedding
Wedding Day jewelry
Pick out music for ceremony and reception
Slide Show for reception
Pick the cakes (tasting is tomorrow)
Pick the food (tasting isn't for another week or two)

I am sure I am missing a few other things. This week we pick the cakes, I take my dress in to get altered, I will get my shoes, and we will figure out the bridal party gifts. On Friday I am off to Dallas Joy and Joe's wedding :) So very happy for them. They really are the perfect couple! We had Joy's bachelorette party this past weekend in Dallas and I am still worn out.

I will be posting pics from my beautiful bridal shower and a few other things soon. My camera broke not too long ago so I had to use Ryan's camera. I am just waiting on him to give me the cord used to upload pictures from the camera to the computer.

Well, lunch break is over - back to work!

Moving In

Soon after we got our engagement pictures it was time for me to move into my new apartment! Ryan was in St. Thomas with his family so unfortunately he had to miss out on the fun process of packing, moving, and unpacking, haha. How convenient, right? ;)

Luckily my little brother from Tulsa and one of my close friends, Tim, came over to help me move into the new place. You have no idea how much I appreciated their help! It would not have been easy with just my mom, dad and me. I feel bad for my parents. They have helped me move in and out of places probably about EIGHT times throughout my 27 years! That is not counting all the times they helped Matthew and Michael move either! Next time I move I think it is a good idea to hire professional movers. It would be nice to give my family and friends a break. ;)

The apartment is just perfect for Ryan and me! I finally got everything moved in (for the most part) last week and Ryan will move in after we get married in August. It is a two story townhouse, a total of 1224 sq ft. The bottom floor holds the living room, large coat closet, kitchen dining room, 1/2 bath, and washer and dryer. There is also a small gated courtyard leading up to our front door where we can plant flowers or whatever we want. Upstairs holds the master bedroom with balcony and the guest bedroom. Both have walk-in closets and bathrooms. It is an older apartment so there was lots to clean. Once it is all decorated and put together it will be a perfectly cozy home for the two of us!

There are still boxes in every room that need to be unpacked, but it has been difficult to find time to put it all into place! The living room is pretty much complete, as well as the kitchen. The bedrooms are not looking too good however. So much more work to be done!

Here are just a few pics from the big moving day... and I had to include a pic from the Kamermayer's St. Thomas vacation :)

Moving along.....

My brother, Michael, his wife Brooke, and my little 9 month old nieces, Ava and Ella, came to visit this week. :)

They arrived on Tuesday afternoon and will leave Sunday, July 4th. I was able to take off Wednesday and Thursday so I got to spend some time with the precious little ones. I have never been much of a baby person. I have never really been around a lot of babies or little ones so I really didn't know what to do or say around them, haha. Michael told me just to sit down on the floor with them and interact. So that is what I have been doing. I had to work today unfortunately, but I will see them all day tomorrow!

They really are precious. Ava seems to be more of the cautious one, while Ella is all about adventure. It was interesting to see them interact with my little dog Zoe. Zoe actually did really well with the girls and I was so happy to see that. You just never know sometimes with dogs.

I have to stay late at work tonight for an event. Tomorrow I will spend a lot of time with the girls and then hopefully meet up some time with Lauren since she is in town for a few days. Sunday is the 4th and I am not sure what all I am doing. Meeting up with a few different friends throughout the afternoon/evening I think.

Ryan left for Dallas today. He flying out tomorrow morning with his family to go to St. Thomas. Oh yes, I am jealous. ;) He will not return until Saturday evening. How convenient... that is the day I move all my stuff into the new apartment. ;)

Ryan and I did do engagement pictures last night with Mandy from Dinsmore Studio Photography. She was so much fun to be around and made the photo shoot easy for us. :) We laughed and were silly and had the best time. Pics should be up on the web Wednesday. I cannot wait to see them. She took so many. We went to Bricktown, MidTown and the Paseo.

Well, I guess that is it for now. Have a safe and fun 4th of July everyone!
