Last week I was finally able to officially change my last name to Kamermayer. I changed my Social Security Card as well as my driver's license and bank account info. However, after getting a new license and leaving Chase bank, I got home and realized they spelled my name wrong!!! AHHH! Seriously?
So I had to go back to the DMV and Chase the very next day to set things straight. This morning I received my new Debit card in the mail with my new name. :) I know, I get excited over the little things.
Let's see, what has been going on lately? Other than changing my name all over the place I have been keeping busy with work. Last weekend was a nice change of pace. Ryan and I attended the Strong Bonds retreat that was sponsored by the National Guard. It is a workshop for married couples to help strengthen their relationship, especially before deployment. I had a good time. I have met a really awesome girl who is the wife of one of ryan's army buddies. Her name is Amanda too! Her and I get along really well and I feel that we will really help each other while the boys are deployed.
They gave us this book called Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage.
I started reading this book the night we came home from the retreat and I have really enjoyed it so far. A lot of it has to do with the differences between men and women and how they think and how they communicate. It really makes you think. And yes, it is pretty humorous at times as well, so that helps. ;)
